We need you – new member event

We want you

Are you interested in joining Rotary?

Are you interested in supporting and raising money for good causes whilst having fun and meeting new people?

Do you prefer a more informal setting to discuss upcoming events and ideas?

If so, we would like to invite you to our New Members Evening, so if you’re interested in becoming a member, this may be the event for you!

West Kirby Rotary Club was created just under 4 years ago. We are a small group but raise money and give our time to local, national and international good causes.

Come along and get to know more about us at this informal event! We’re excited to meet new potential members – no obligation to join at all, just come for a chat with some of our current members.

You may have never heard of Rotary before, you may know all about us, or you may have the impression we’re a male only group who meet formally (we’re not!)….come and meet us at this event on Monday 10th September at 7:30pm.

Venue: West Kirby Costa , Dee Lane, West Kirby, CH48 0QA

Hilbre Walk – 12th May 2018

Hilbre-Island

In association with the Wro Bar Loft in West Kirby

Join the Rotary Club and the Wro for our 4th annual walk to beautiful Hilbre island in the gorgeous spring weather!  We will be meeting in the Wro Loft (i.e. upstairs) at 11.30am for croissants and coffee, then at 12.00 we’ll set off for the stroll over to Little Eye, Middle and then Hilbre itself.  In previous years we’ve seen some wonderful views and wildlife including seals.  On the way back we’ll join the High Tidiers for a litterpick, helping preserve our beautiful environment for everyone to enjoy.  Then to round the afternoon off refreshments will be served in the Wro Loft and we’ll also have a prize raffle.

All proceeds are going to the UTS Foundation, a local charity that seeks to improve the physical health of the vulnerable members of society.

So between the beautiful views, the good work and the brilliant charity, that’s three good reasons to join us for a Hilbre walk! Come along and bring the sunshine with you.

Tickets are £10 for adults and just £5 for children

HEALTH & SAFETY – please prepare for various weather conditions, as those of us who have been before know it can be very cold and windy out there so you may want to wrap up warm, it can also be very sunny and hot so suntan lotion wouldn’t go amiss either, just keep an eye on the day’s forecast; wear appropriate footwear, it can be very slippery so flip-flops are not advisable  … also there is no shop on the island (yes, people have asked us this !) so you will need to bring your own water and snacks.
