In association with the Wro Bar Loft in West Kirby
Join the Rotary Club and the Wro for our 5th annual walk to beautiful Hilbre island in the gorgeous spring weather! We will be meeting in the Wro Loft (i.e. upstairs) at 10:00am for croissants and coffee, then at 10:30 we’ll set off for the stroll over to Little Eye, Middle and then Hilbre itself. In previous years we’ve seen some wonderful views and wildlife including seals. Returning by 01:00pm we will round the morning off with warm soup served in the Wro Loft and we’ll also have a prize raffle.
We will be raising money to support the revival of the Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm – a place that many Wirral families hold very dear.
So between the beautiful views, the healthy exercise and the brilliant charity, that’s three good reasons to join us for a Hilbre walk! Come along and bring the sunshine with you.
Tickets are £10 per adult, £6 per child walking and all tickets MUST be bought in advance for health & safety reasons
Please note that whilst WKRC and The Wro will be with you, this walk is at your own risk.
HEALTH & SAFETY – Safety advice will be given and must be adhered to, and please only follow the described route. Please prepare for various weather conditions, as those of us who have been before know it can be very cold and windy out there so you may want to wrap up warm. It can also be very sunny and hot so suntan lotion wouldn’t go amiss either, just keep an eye on the day’s forecast. Wear appropriate footwear. The route is across sand and rocks with some mud and can be very slippery so flip-flops are not advisable … also there is no shop on the island (yes, people have asked us this !) so you will need to bring your own water and snacks.
